My own experience being a student. Pilates was conditioning my body so I could perform better in all the other activities I was participating in, particularly long distance road, trail running and also ocean swimming. My experience with Yoga although at first quite superficial, ended up becoming a much deeper practice and experience. It went beyond training my body and became about exploring the true essence of who I am at a much deeper level. For all these reasons, I studied both to spread the word.
